Who Am I?

Just who am I you might be asking yourself? I am a wife, a mother of angels, a wrangler of dogs, a herder of chickens, a stitcher, an avid reader, and as a member of Gen X, a firm believer in FAFO.

I cook daily, kitchen experiments are always rewarding and educational, even the failures. Our house is lived in and thus, never is it “Instagram” perfect. Give me a lived-in house over sterile, lifeless picture ready house any day of the week. Our three dogs are at home inside and out, guard the chickens and defend the yard from squirrels.

I have more “UFOs aka Unfinished Objects” in my cross-stitch stash than I do completed ones, but that just means I’m ready should the need arise. I have all of the sewing essentials to mend on the fly and am fully capable of using my sewing machine when necessary.

My garden is in dire need of attention at the moment, but that too is a life lesson that can be shared in the future. I fully admit that pulling weeds is not my favorite thing to do, but needs must in the future. Did I mention I read? So much so that I do have a Booktube channel where I discuss all things book. (I make zero promises about not recommending books here in the future.)

Life has taught me lessons and since we are not blessed with living children, I thought it was time to begin to pass on years of accumulated wisdom. Do I know it all? Not even remotely close. Have I learned many a life lesson along the way? Absolutely.
